A Humble Beginning
In 1954, PM SHRI Govt Sr Sec School opened its doors in Rangpo, East Sikkim, with a single-minded purpose: to give every child access to quality education. From modest beginnings, we grew into the institution thousands of families have trusted across generations.

Growing with the Nation
As India evolved, so did we. From a secondary school to a full Senior Secondary institution offering Science, Commerce, and Arts — our growth mirrored the aspirations of Sikkim itself. Each decade brought new challenges, and each time we rose to meet them.

PM SHRI: A New Chapter
In 2023, we were awarded the prestigious PM SHRI status — a national recognition for schools that embody the vision of the National Education Policy 2020. It is not just an award; it is a mandate to lead, to innovate, and to serve as a model institution for India's future.
